If your looking for an overhaul of the Older Lanshire Black Round Clock Motor (SS-2) then click on the following Older Lanshire Black Round Clock Motor (SS-2)
Lanshire Round Clock with XL-7 motor

Please note mine do NOT have the electrical cord but the motor has the usual 2 leads where you can attach your own cord. I can do the same but you would have to undo it for your installation. I have 3 NOS (new old stock) Lanshire movements for sale. New old stock means that is was never put into service and was found on someone's inventory shelf. Except for the cord these are complete and you can part it out and use whatever you may need. The Lanshire Clock Company went out of business in the 1990's. It was purchase by one of its customers, who had decided to quit making movements. So NOS is extremely rare. The price is $200.00 each plus $20.00 Priority Mail shipping in the US ($45.00 to Canada and Mexico). Each is guaranteed to keep perfect time, each were tested and of course everything works. I give a 2-year warranty (warranty because I do NOT cover your mistakes).
If you want me to repair what you have then it's $250.00 plus the shipping and my turnaround is about 6 to 8 weeks. Everything else stays the same. If successful then you would get a 2-year warranty but I cannot guarantee that I can always repair what is sent. If you then what a NOS then I pocket the extra $50.00 for my time in trying to overhaul your motor and then sent the NOS motor.
One thing you can do before you send in the Lanshire motor is to take a Multi-meter or Volt/Ohm meter, these are less than $20.00 at any hardware store, and with no current on the motor, set the meter to Ohms and touch the two leads to the end of the wires or the posts where the wires connect and see if you get a reading. Just about any reading is a good one. The motor does not have to be running to perform this test. But if you get no reading what-so-ever then the motor's coil is dead and I cannot repair your motor. You should still send it in because I may have a source for the nearly identical motor. If you get a reading, then plug it in for at least 4 hours and see how hot the motor gets. The motor does not have to be running to perform this heat test. If you can hold it with your fingers for 10 seconds without being burned then the coil would be good enough to rebuilt the motor around it. If you can't then it's not rebuildable because there are too many shorts in the coil and the motor would not have enough torque to last or perhaps not run at all. If you get no reading what-so-ever, then it will be an extra $100.00 to take one from my inventory and overhaul that for a total of $370.00 which includes the $20.00 return shipping. If you don't want to test it with current, then I'll be happy to and do that right off when the motor is received, so you'll know what we're dealing with. I prefer you do it and perhaps save us both some time and effort.
All checks must be made out to Mike Murray because I gave up my business checking. All motor only service requires prepayment made out to Mike Murray, unless you don't mind waiting a year. I'll not ship the clock until I received payment. I accept personal checks, certified checks, or company checks for payment. Normally shipping takes place one week or so after I receive payment and thanks! If you use a personal check then please allow 10 days before shipping to allow the check to clear. You can also pay with either Pay Pal or Square, I will send an invoice to your E-mail address. Here you are dealing directly with either service and not me. You do not have to be a member of Pay Pal or Square in order to issue a payment but 4% will be added to your total bill. All of the added fees are exactly what either service charges me for taking your credit card.
