NOS Mastercrafters & Sessions Movements
All of these movements cost $150.00 plus $20.00 priority mail (Canada is $45.00) and have
a 2-year warranty, which brings your total cost to $170.00.
These are NOS (New Old Stock, meaning never put into service) movements and were placed into
every production of the Mastecrafters and Sessions electric clocks in the early 1960´s
in order to combat the Japaneese invasion of cheap electric clocks. Most everything
in these movements is plastic.
I do not know of any substitute.
If you want to send in the clock for movement replacement, please be advised that your costs
will increase by $130.00 with everything else staying the same. The increase covers
the increase in return shipping and insurance and includes my labor charge of $100.00 for
the replacement service. I can ship at that price for clocks up to 22" long ($300.00 total).
All checks must be made out to Mike Murray because I gave up my business checking.
I'm asked how long the clock will run?
As far as how long the clock will work, that's not an answerable
question because of the factors involved. The first and most important is
just about everything is plastic and will wear out eventually.
They typically give about 30 years of continuous running before they
start to deteriorate.
The second factor is your household current. All motors have a coil inside
them and they will weaken or even short out when there is a power surge. If you
put in the money to get your clock running then put in the money to have it
plugged into a power surge protector strip.
For return shipping I use USPS for all shipping. If you want
to use another carrier then you will have to arrange everything for shipping,
meaning I hand the box to the driver, get a receipt and nothing else.
I'll not ship the movement until I received payment. I ONLY accept money orders,
certified checks, or company checks for payment but repeat customers may use personal checks.
Normally shipping takes place one week or so after I receive payment and thanks !

I would like payment by, certified check, personal check, business check,
or through Pay Pal or Square, which is the only way I take credit cards. I
do prefer a check over Pay Pal or Square because Pay Pal and Square take 3%.

With either Pay Pal or Square, I will send an invoice to your E-mail
address. Here you are dealing directly with either service and not me.
You do not have to be a member of Pay Pal or Square in order to issue a payment but
the 3% will be added to your total bill.
All of the added fees are exactly what either service charges me for taking your
credit card.
